Expressive Roots Workshop for Late Discovery Adoptees

I feel excited to be offering this program for FREE, as it has come to my attention that there is a shortage of resources available for LDA’s, and I want as many supports as possible to be accessible. Please visit my “Donate” page if you feel inspired to support this site.

This is a self-paced, twelve-unit online workshop designed specifically for LDA's.

Weekly offerings include: 1) an educational component, and 2) an invitation to explore the learning more deeply and personally by participating in a creative project using a variety of artistic mediums and writing prompts.

Creative therapeutic art projects have been designed to support LDA's in processing their unique emotions and experiences. Some units will include voice and video components.  Accompanying most units will be an example of my own work in relation to my personal story. Workshop participants will have access to a private facebook group for sharing and exploring our projects. While joining the group is optional, having one's work witnessed by another can be an important element of healing. Depending on the availability of group members, online meetings through Zoom or Google Hangouts is an option.

This program is designed for LDA’s specifically; however I warmly invite adoptees, and mental health professionals to use it as a resource.
